Here is my answer on 'The purpose' by T. P. Kailasam task given by Vaidehi ma'am Haryani. Click here to read about this task
T. P. Kailasam was a playwright and prominent writer of Kannada Litreture. His contribution to Kannada theatrical comedy earned him the title Prahasana Prapitamaha, "the father of humorous plays" and later he was also called "Kannadakke Obbane Kailasam" meaning "One and only Kailasam for Kannada.
● Question 1
Compare and contrast Arjuna and Eklavya's character.
The purpose by T. P. Kailasam is based on Mahabharata.Here are a few points from Arjun and Ekalavya. Arjun is student of archery he belongs to an upper class family he is prodigal Prince when Eklavya went to become a student of archery he is is the protagonist of the play in the purpose he belong to a lower class family a weak person from lower caste and he is Nishad boy in this play Arjuna went to become the great archery in the world Eklavya bahan to learn archery to say like of innocent animals Arjun at the end of the play he belongs a grat Archer. When Eklavya at the end of the story he lost his thumb we feel pity for Eklavya.

What is ' Subaltern ' ? Who do you think the Subaltern in this play ? Explain with example
Subaltern theory takes the perspective of the "Other" as the the one who has had no voice because of race, class, or gender. This theory is based on deconstruction as Derrida has proposed it. It emphasizes that norms are established by those in power and imposed on the "Other."In this play, Eklavya is subaltern because his voice is suppressed because class system and Dronacharya refused to teach him archery because he is Nishadha

Is Dronacharya an ideal teacher ? If yes, then how ? If No, then why ? Explain with example
No, Dronacharya is not good teacher. Because Dronacharya only give the pressure of Arjuna Because Arjuna is prince and Dronacharya not give the importance of Eklavya. Eklavya is not upper class. " All students are equal for teacher" but this sentence not mach the Dronacharya. You can see the this nawaday understand system of education
